#30YEARSOFHAPPY Chalk It Up Block Card

Don't miss out on the #30YEARSOFHAPPY stamp set!! Putting together this block card provided a great way to showcase some of these cute mini stamps perfect for this card!!

I watched the tutorial for this card on Dawn Stamping Thoughts blog. Below I have created a pic tutorial so you can make one of your own!!

How cute is this?!?!

I used a piece of Flaxen card stock for my base. The patterned paper is Chalk It Up along with black card stock. The base piece was cut at  4 1/2 x 12. The smaller Flaxen piece was cut at 1 x 4 1/2 and scored at 1/2 inch. The black card stock is cut as 1 3/8 x 1 3/8 and the inside Chalk It Up square to go on top of the black card stock is cut at  1 1/4 x 1 1/4. The longer piece of Chalk it up is cut at 1 3/8 x 4 3/8.

 Take your base piece of card stock and score at 1 1/2, 3, 4 1/2, 6, 7 1/2, 9 and 10 1/2.

Turn the card stock vertically and score at 1 1/2 and 3 inches.

Count over to the 4th row and count up 2 squares and cut them out. It should look like the above.

Cut out one of the bottom squares on each side of the two squares you previously removed. It should look like the above.

Cut a slit across the squares on the bottom and middle row. It should look like the above pictures.

Put adhesive on two of the flaps as shown above. You will fold them in and attach them to the flaps directly across from it that does not have adhesive. This will allow it to form into the block card as show below.

When you attach the adhesive flaps it will look like this^^^^^.

You will now need to attach the bottom. The one side is longer then the other. We will use the smaller piece of Flaxen card stock to form the base.

Take your 1 x 4 1/2 piece of Flaxen that was scored at 1/2 inch and put adhesive on it.

Attach the piece against the fold line.

Now attach the bottom flap to this piece which will allow the block card to stand up.

Finish adhering to make one solid piece. The card will now stand and look like the below picture.

Go ahead and center your Chalk It Up squares on top of the black card stock squares.

Add the 1 3/8 x 4 3/8 piece of Chalk It Up card stock to the bottom panel.

Adhered your pieces to the panel of the card. You will end up using 9 squares of patterned paper and card stock to fill up the side and top of the card.

It will look like this when you are done decorating the card.

I took the #30YEARSOFHAPPY stamp set and stamped the ones that pertained to someone doing well. I used Black, Lagoon, Smoothie and Flaxen ink.

I colored the White Enamel Stars using the ShinHan Touch Twin markers.

I decorated the card using the #30YEARSOFHAPPY stamp set, colored enamel stars and the "Class Act" chipboard from the Chalk It Up Complements.

Here are some close ups of the card. How cute is the "Number 1" image from the stamp set!!

Another close up!! How cute are the stars!! I can't get enough of the stars and the fact I can color them coordinating colors I need them to be!!

You can brighten someones day when they are doing a job well done!!

Here is the top view. How cute are these little flowers?! Love this stamp. I added Bitty Sparkles to the center of the flowers.

It folds flat to ship to your special someone!!
