A Seaside Happy Birthday...

I absolutely positively love the new Seaside paper pack! I put together this card using the design from the new CTMH Idea Book on page 91.
Can you say easy peasy to put this together!! Cut some strips of card stock. I used the front and back of the Seaside B&T with the polka dot pattern. I also used the zip strip which is the fence pattern. I added a few strips of the teal shimmer trim and the Gold Polka Dot and a retired washi. I would suggest replacing with the new Lagoons Heart washi tape.

The shape was cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cart. I distressed the shape using my sponge and Desert Sand ink. The sentiment and image is stamped from the Belated Birthday stamp set. I stamped the image on the shape using Desert Sand and then again with Lagoon ink on a piece of white daisy card stock. I fussy cut a layer of the cake in lagoon ink and paper pieced it as well as the little flags on the cake.

This card came out sooo cute and its a great way to use up scraps as well!! Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!!

CTMH Embossing Folder Fun

I saw a cute card created by Mischelle Smith which was the inspiration for my card. I have to say taking something so simple such as a piece of card stock shaped like a circle and embossing definitely adds flair to a card!!

As a child I adored Koalas so I had to have the Cute Koalas stamp set. I colored the image using the CTMH ShinHan Touch Twin markers. I embossed a pear piece of card stock using the Dot Embossing folder.

Here is a closer look at the colored stamp image and the embossed card stock!! CUTE!!

How about these stars?! I colored the new CTMH White Enamel Stars using the ShinHan markers. You can make them any color you want!! How cool!!

I used the CTMH polka dot washi that is retired however I would suggest replacing with the silver geometric washi tape.  I had some fun with one of my favorite new stamp sets call Have A Happy Day to make the chevron pattern. I stamped the chevron using the new Glacier ink. I added a piece of the new Slate Diagonal Striped Ribbon. The sentiment was stamped in black ink.

I love how this card came together!! Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!!

ALS Scrapbook Layout

What a wonderful opportunity to be able to put together this ALS scrapbook layout. One of my girlfriends husband works for Paul Davis Restoration. They embarked on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

This challenge was near and dear to their hearts as they have an employee who is battling ALS. The employees donated and the company is matching their donations!! FABULOUS!! I have to say this challenge has definitely increased awareness!!

How fun is the new Chalk It Up paper?!?! I used a combination of this fun paper pack, pear, white daisy and black card stock. I added some bling and a cute pear colored flower in the stash. The border and title was cut from the Artbooking cricut cart. The ALS Challenge and numbers were cut using the Art Philosophy cricut cart. I colored two of the bitty sparkles separating the numbers using the CTMH Shinhan Touch Twin markers. I love that you can make a clear sparkle any color you want it to be!!

I hope they enjoy displaying this layout!! Thank you for stopping by and HAPPY CRAFTING!

My Delta Sister Friend Cards

I was so excited when one of my sister friends recently became a Delta and asked me to make cards for her Sorors. Not only is she my sister friend she is now my Delta Sister Friend! Check out my lovely creations below.....

What better way to show off CTMH products along with Robert Jackson Digi's. The two images are by Robert Jackson. I enjoyed coloring them using the new CTMH Shinshan Touch Twin Markers. The  Delta Sigma Theta letters are from retired CTMH stamp, Greek Alphabet. This stamp is one of the best purchases I have made especially since I am Greek...Skee Wee Sorors!!  The paper is a combination of White Daisy, Cranberry and Black card stock paired with For Always. I used Holiday Red ink.
The black and red shimmer trim came in handy as well as bitty sparkles and red gems. The cards and envelopes are CTMH as well. Overall very please with how they came out.

Scraps of Color (SOC) Design Team Post....Room Decor - Dry Erase Frame

How often do you create home decor items? Me not so much but I am loving all the ideas I see out there which had me excited to try a Dry Erase Frame! With school soon to be in session I figured this would be a good way to communicate since I am at work prior to my girls going to school.

It all begins with a Dollar Store frame!! Here is my Dollar store haul...

I didn't check out the back when I bought them and got home to a glued frame. I used my exacto knife to cut along one edge to remove the designed paper.

Here is one of the finished frames. Design wise I thought of it as a 8 x 10 scrapbook layout and decorate the page accordingly. I really like the Julie Nutting stamps so I decided to make them the focal point on both of the Dry Erase Frames.

I stamped the image on Colonial White card stock.

I repeated stamping the image on different pieces of patterned paper so I could paper piece the dress and hair bow.

You can see how I pieced the belt around the waist of the dress.

I colored her hair and body with ShinHan Touch Twin markers now available through CTMH. (you see I was testing out browns for the body in the right hand top corner).

Here is a close up. I added some embellishments to jazz up the page. A little line doodling, my daughters name using the CTMH Artiste cricut cart, a border and some bling. The paper is CTMH Scaredy Cat.

I made another one for my daughter Aria. This one I colored the entire image and added some random flower stamping to the wrap she is wearing. The paper is CTMH Chalk It Up.

Here is the finished product. I again used the Artiste cart for the name. The fun colorful stickers are complimentary stickers that go with the Chalk it Up paper packet.

This is a fun gift giving idea and using any type of frame. It was totally economically feasible. The dry erase works like a charm and will be a great means of communication for my little princesses and I.

If you haven't made one of these frames I challenge you to get to it!! Next on my list is a weekly menu board using the 3rd frame you saw in my Dollar Store haul photo.

What a Hoot?!?! Atlantic Hearts Card Challenge

Do you love Owls? Do you love CTMH Seaside paper? If so you are in the right place!!! I saw a few posts about the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge so I decided to show off the August Stamp of The Month!!

Here is my card using the August Stamp of the Month -- What A Hoot along with the Seaside paper packet!! I had fun paper piecing and coloring using the Shinhan Touch Twin Markers available through CTMH!! I have to say the markers are awesome!!

How cute is this little guy or gal?? I love the color combination and can't get enough of this polka dot pattern paper!!

I used the new Topiary Mini Chevron Ribbon....super cute!!! Love how paper piecing makes it pop!

Showing off the markers. I really like how easy it is to color!!

So easy to blend the ink as well as the coloring looks nice even when done on patterned paper!!

Brushed Birthday Rolodex - CTMH New Product Blog Hop

Brushed Birthday Rolodex....

How do you remember your friends and family members birthdays?? Today I am excited to share with you my Birthday Rolodex as part of the CTMH new product Annual Inspirations Blog Hop!!

I have to say there are some birthdays I remember without thinking and others I just can't quite get there. This rolodex was decorated using the new Brushed paper pack which is so pretty!!

I started off with this rolodex I purchased from Staples about a year and a half ago!! Yes, I had good intentions to get this done a long time ago...ha ha better late then never.

I cut pieces of card stock to adhere over the card file. I then used my CTMH scissors and cut around the outline of the card file.

You can see the covered card files in this picture. I made tags for the top of each card to designate the months. I cut the tags using the Artiste cricut cart and stamped in using the new CTMH inks Pixie, Canary and Glacier.

Here is a look at the tags and covered card files.

Here is a close up of the tag. I added these cute Aqua Dots to the Canary tags.

I added Bitty Sparkles to the Pixie tags.

Here is a side view. I added Flamingo Dots to the Glacier tags and this cute bow from the Artiste cart.
I really enjoyed making this Birthday Rolodex. I hope this helps me remember special moments so I can bless my friends and family with a special Birthday card :-)
