While I loveeeee CTMH there are times when I will share other projects I have created that aren't CTMH. I still like to show my creations.

This card was created using a Unity Stamp I purchased years ago and never used. Since I am coloring I am trying to work on my skills using images and this stamp came to mind. I tried using my CTMH Watercolor paints for the first time. The sentiment is from Pink Bow Ties Sorority stamp set. I was please with how it turned out considering I know nothing about water coloring.

I colored this adorable fox from the CTMH Miracle of Christmas stamp set as my Day 2 Marker Challenge image. Of course I put it on a card to make it functional.

I used the White Pines paper. I cut the tag out using the Art Philosophy cricut cart. The sentiment is stamped in Cranberry ink and the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The holly is from the Artistry cricut cart. Its difficult to see but I have glitter in the background to make it look wintry. The twine is from Hobby Lobby. This was a fun one to color using my Copics.

Yesterday was Day 1 and this was my coloring adventure for the evening.

I colored this super cute image from the CTMH Safari Ballet stamp set. The paper used was Zoe which I can't get enough of the polka dots!! Of course I had to add the signature bow on top to make this pretty easy to put together. The bow was cut using the CTMH Artiste cricut cart. I added a few gray gems. I stamped the sentiment in Smoothie Ink and the Hippo in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the image using Copic markers. I used my clear Wink of Stella to go over the tu tu but you can't see it in the picture.

Dad's Rock...Quick Masculine Father's Day Cards....(SOC Creative Team Post)

Check out my Scraps of Color (SOC) creative team post. Haven't visited the SOC blog? CLICK
 -->HERE...

Father's Day is quickly approaching. Have you made your cards? Looking for quick and simple card ideas? I created this cards fairly quick making a matted card front, cutting up a card front and adding a few stamped images. Follow along to see how these cards came together.

I used CTMH products. The ink colors are black, chocolate and juniper. The stamps sets are Hats Off, The Best Dad Ever and Perfect Fit Dad. I cut out the mustache using the CTMH Artiste cricut cart.

I used CTMH Jackson paper which is perfect for a masculine card. I put together 4 matted card fronts. I made an additional mat which I randomly cut into 4 pieces.

I randomly placed the 4 pieces of the mat I cut on each individual card front. There was no rhyme or reason to this process.

Once I had the pieces adhered to the card front I secured the card front to the A2 sized card base.

Here is the card front attached to the card. I then had some fun stamping and embellishing the cards.

I stamped the sentiment "You're the world's best day. It's true we checked". I embellished with a few sequins.
I really like this stamp set. I stamped the image 3 times. On the card front I stamped in black. I wanted to add dimension to the image so I stamped the hat in juniper and the bow in chocolate. I fussy cut the pieces and popped them up with 3-D foam tape.

On this card I focused on the mustache. I cut the mustache using the Artiste cricut cart and stamped it in black ink. I added the word "dad" using juniper ink. I added a few gold sequins to give it some flair.

Finally I stamped the "Hats off to you" sentiment which I thought was fitting. I cut the hat out from the previous stamp image in the 2nd card and tilted it to the side using 3-D foam tape. I added a few golden stud triangles to the bottom.

So simple, quick and masculine to meet your Father's Day needs. Have you made your cards yet? If so link your cards to your comment so I can check them out. I enjoy seeing the variety of card ideas.

Teacher Appreciation Card Style....

Its the end of the year and time to make teacher appreciation goodies. I made these cards for one of my clients. I adore how they came out.

Of course I went with CTMH Chalk It Up paper as its fitting for the purpose of the cards. I used the Teacher Appreciation and In the Backgrounds stamp sets. I masked off the the center circle and used the chevron stamp to create my background paper. I used Lagoon and Smoothie ink. I wanted to add some dimension so I popped up the center circle, the graduation cap, the sentiment banner and the apple. The owl image is colored with Copics. I colored the white enamel stars with my CTMH markers. The little circles were added with a die. I was pleased with how the cards turned out :-)

It's Bokeh Time...Stamping Style

Check out my creative team post for the Scraps of Color blog...You can visit the blog HERE.

Are you wondering what exactly is Bokeh and how it applies to stamping? In the photography world Bokeh is the visual quality of the out of focus areas of photographic image.

This same look can be applied using your stamping products. If you haven't tried this technique follow my picture tutorial and make some beautiful cards.

In the photography world here is an example of Bokeh.....

Here is the card I made using the Bokeh technique

With this technique I used inks, card stock and a piece of acetate in which I cute 4 different size circles using my circle punch.

I started off with a piece of White Daisy card stock. I inked up my sponge in CTMH pear ink.

I randomly made circular motions on the card stock leaving some white space for my second color.

I used the same circular motion using CTMH Pixie ink covering the white space. I also went over some of the Pear ink which gave it a third color. I noticed a little white space so I went back and filled that in with the pear ink.

Once my card stock was covered I grabbed my CTMH White Daisy pigment ink and the template I made earlier.

I placed the template on the card stock and inked up the circles with the white pigment ink. No rhyme or reason just covering areas with the different sized circles to give it the Bokeh look. You can even have a few of the circle attach to one another.

When I was done I took my sponge dauber and made a few random prominent daubes which really made some of the smaller circles stand out.

This was my finished card stock mat. Now all you have to do is embellish as you see fit. Below are a few more cards using this technique....

This card I masked off a portion of the left side of the card stock leaving some white space. I used CTMH Rainy Day stamp set. I colored the image with Copics.

I used a die to cut out the sentiment and the camera. The camera was perfect considering we are taking about Boken...Say Cheese!!

I masked off the top and bottom of this card mat. I stamped the sentiment using the CTMH Happy To Be Friends stamp set.

This one I added a few more embellishments to jazz it up. The stamp set is CTMH You're The Bomb.

I can't wait to see what you create using the Bokeh technique!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there :-)
