There’s something truly special about the way creativity brings people together, and that’s why the My Pretty Things' tagline is, “Crafting Friendships Everyday”. Whether it’s a handmade card or crafty time shared together, the bonds we build through art are some of the most special moments between friends.
Today, we’re excited to introduce My Pretty Things’ newest release in our first ever blog hop: Blooming Friendships — a collection designed to celebrate community, kindness, and the beauty of handmade expression.
I created this absolutely gorgeous card using the Watercolor Wonderland Wide Washi Tape and wow, is it a showstopper!
The magic doesn’t stop there…this washi has a coordinating die that effortlessly cuts out those stunning florals and the beautiful hummingbird with precision. Talk about instant elegance with minimal effort!
I laid the washi onto black cardstock to make those colors POP, then secure the coordinating die and ran it through my die cutting machine to perfectly cut out the florals!
For the base, I selected a gorgeous patterned paper from the Adventure in Wonderland 6x6 collection. Then I took it up a notch by layering in a mat of Gold Dust cardstock. This instantly pulls out those sunny yellow tones and adds a rich, luxe glow to the design.
I took a piece of white cardstock and framed it up with two black lines using a journaling pen for that perfect polished look. Pop those florals with thin 3D foam tape in the top left and bottom right corners, trimming any overhang for a clean finish.
Next, I added “On Your Special Day” sentiment cut from the Gold Foiled Sentiments and pop it up for dimension. I added the hummingbird on foam tape with a touch of gold thread tucked behind for that extra flair, then sprinkle in a few gold pearls for the perfect hint of shine.
So simple, so stunning these products make creating a gorgeous card effortless!
