BookMark Mania

So I participated in a bookmark swap with some of my fellow CTMH sisters. I had fun trying my hand at a corner bookmark which is a little different then the traditional type of bookmark. I have to say how much I love YOUTUBE. You can find just about any tutorial on that site and when you do you get to have as much fun as I do creating something new.

I used Florentine paper to complete both bookmarks.

Below is the corner bookmark:

This pic shows the corner bookmark in action on one of my daughters books. She is dying for me to make her a couple. I can't wait to make them as her eyes lit up when she saw what I had created.

Traditional bookmark with a fun pinwheel daring you to "Dream".

Scrapping Sista's Monthly Swap ~ June Swap Sign-Ups Now Open

It’s swap time again. LET'S GET TO SWAPPING!!

Please read through all the details and if you are SERIOUSLY interested, please email me at  to express your commitment to the Swap. The swap will be limited to the first 24 participants who sign up. If we have an overwhelming response to this swap we will look to form a second group.

For the month of June we are hosting a Altered Domino Swap. Once we receive 24 participants, we will put together 3 groups of 8 which means you will need to make 8 identical dominoes. Your task should you accept the challenge will be to Alter Dominoes. Below are a few website to provide you with a few examples of Altered Dominoes.

1. Send me an email confirming your commitment during the sign up period which begins today and ends June 6th.
2. Wait for your confirmation email from me.
3. Get your mental wheels turning and CREATE! Please make sure you put forth your best effort…quality, quality quality!

Further details will be mailed to you in a confirmation email so again, to sign-up, please send an email to nonchalantaka (at) yahoo (dot) com.  Remove the parenthesis and spaces.  Put "June Swap" in the subject line.

All Swap items will be due by the 28th of June so please have them postmarked by the 23rd.   Please do not sign up if you CANNOT commit to being on time.

Scrapping Sista has a Facebook group dedicated to these swaps so information will be posted on her blog as well as in the group.  If you are not Scrappin' Sista's (Christel Young Bonner's) Facebook friend, please send a request (include a note about who you are) and you'll be added to the group for the month.

We at Scrappin' Sista Monthly Swaps look forward to a great month and making many new friends.  Have fun and let’s create.

Liebster Award

I would like to send a super dupper earth shattering THANK YOU to Kisa Hanging In The Woman Cave for choosing me to receive this Liebster Award. Kisa and I had the pleasure of meeting through facebook and she is very creative so I would encourage you to check out her blog and become a follower.

"The origins of the Liebster Blog award are somewhat unclear but the general consensus is that it originated in Germany, Liebster meaning favorite or dearest, to showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon accepting the award the recipient must then pass it on to five more blogs of note."

Without further adieu, here's what you do as a presenter of this award!

1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog.
2. Link back to the blogger who presented the award to you.
3. Copy and paste the blog award on your blog.
4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 blogs of 200 followers or less who you feel deserve.
5. Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment at their blog.

So, now it's my turn to pay it forward, my picks for fellow bloggers with less than 200 followers, in no particular order, are as follows:

1. Jennifer Kelly - Paper Traditions
2. Lori Blehm - Scrapbooking and Bling
3. Joy McHargue - Studio Wow
4. Tasha Hart - Wild At Hearts Studio
5. Pamela Thorn - PJ's Corner

Now, choose 5 blogs that you like and give them the award!
