A Gift To My Sis...

I was thinking to myself what could I make my sister as a gift for her 16th B-Day. Her mom sent me a few pictures and the one with the colorful skirt caught my idea. I knew immediately what I was gonna do. I used the CTMH bracket frame, Art Philosophy cricut cart to cut the flowers and the paper to cover the frame. I also used CTMH flourishes, pins and gems as centers for the flowers. I hand rolled the flowers using paper I had in my stash which coordinated perfectly with the colors in her skirt. I still have tons of Dotty paper so I cut the butterflies out one of the designer papers and used some bling to make each butterfly stand out. I used a silver mist on the corners of the frame. I LOVE the finished project. So colorful and fun like the beautiful picture.

The Everything ABC's Blog Hop Featuring the Letter D

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter D. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their D element will be featured in their post.
If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy
If you came from "Linda- Scrappy Therapy" then you're on the right track!
The letter "D" for my project represents the word Dimension. I figured I would play with the Cricut and cut out a 3-D item that has some dimension associated with it.
Here is my project. This mailbox is the cutest! My thought process consisted of making something I could use to provide reward and recognition to my daughters. How about some Mommy Mail?? When the arm is up on the mailbox it means mommy has left some mail. I used a brad to allow the arm to move up and down. My oldest daughter loves butterflies so I used them to decorate her mailbox. I used a retired paper packet La Bella Vie. I cut out the mailbox from the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge. I also used it to cut out this cute butterfly. I glittered it up using Glitz Bronze Glitter Gel.
I did some distressing of the edges using a sponge and Smokey Plum ink. The title plate was made using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.
Here are some up close pics of the butterfly. I also made a little card which reads "Believe to Achieve" on the front and I have a hand written note on the inside along with a stamped image which says "You're Amazing". The stamp set used for the inside came from the stamp collection that comes with the Artiste cartridge. The outside stamped sentiment was from a special promotion stamp set from 2012. What a great way to recognize our children in a positive way!!
Here is the notecard up close. You can leave little candies, or small objects as well.
I hope you enjoyed my project. I love comments so tell me what you think. If you have any questions about CTMH products let me know. Thank you for stopping by :-)

Unity Stamp Company February Challenge

While I LOVE Close To My Heart stamps a very close fav is Unity Company Stamps. I adore all the fun stamps they have. For the month of February they have this really cool challenge I decided to enter.

Here is the color palette for this challenge. They also have a scrapbook layout and a card sketch but I figured I wanted to play with my CTMH Artiste cart so I am using the colors in my project.

Below is my project. When I looked at the above picture I kept thinking of butterflies in the sky. I used my CTMH Artiste cart to cut out this cool bag. I also cut out the cloud and inked the edges in Lagoon to give it that light turquoise color in the palette. I used the Unity "You GIve Me Tiny Butterflies" stamp set. I stamped the hearts and butterfly and colored them red, turquoise and yellow using CTMH watercolor pencils. I stamped two of the butterflies and also colored them with the watercolor pencils. I stamped the sentiment "You Give Me Butterflies". I made the clouds and butterflies dimensional using pop dots. To finish it up I used a velcro fastener under the flap. Great gift idea to show someone how special they are.

Here is another look at my project from the side so you can see the dimension the pop dots provide.

Happy Valentines Day

Valentines day is so much fun for my girls and I. I love to see the smiles on their face when they bring home all the cards they received from their school friend.

Here is the card catcher box I made for my lil one to use for her cards.

These are the cards I put together for my girls to give to their classmates. I cut the paper but they had to put them together based on these samples. They did a great job.

Retreat Creations

One of my scrapbooking sisters is a Creative Memories consultant. Her and her fellow consultants put on a wonderful retreat each year I attend. I love the uninterrupted (well not really with all the chatting I do) time to just let my hair down and create wonderful pages to add to my albums as well as the fellowship I get to engage in with my friends.

Check out these fun LO's. I used CTMH products as well as some are CM as they give you tons of goodies to try out.

These pictures crack me up. I used CTMH stamps that were offered during a special promotion in 2012. I have to figure out what I am going to journal. Fun in the moment pics my sister captured of me being silly.

In this world of technology I can't seem to part with my phone. (I need to work on that). I got this cool stamp set from Unity Stamps. I thought it was a good choice to pair with this pic. I used the CTMH Artiste cart to cut out the camera film.

This paper is CM. I also you CTMH stamp set to create the title "Smile" as well as the camera film. My daughters smile brightens my day :-)

I used the Lucy CTMH paper for this LO. The design comes from the CTMH Magic book. Pretty cool slider technique used which displays a picture when you pull up the tab. In a later picture you can see what that looks like.

CM has this cool paper that comes with a design you can just plop your pictures in. I put a spin on it to make it my own. I cut out the banner using the CTMH Art Philosophy cart and bakers twine. I also cut out butterflies from some left over Dotty paper I have (I can't get enough of this paper). I also cut out the tab using AP. My sister used her wonderful penmanship to journal for me. Nice pics of my girls. here is part ll so you can see how it looks when the slider is pulled up on this LO. Love it!!

I used the CTMH Workshop on the Go Kit to create this LO. Finally took some time to scrapbook a halloween page. Fun Fun Fun....

This is the back side of the CM paper above with the "sisters banner title". Again you just plop in the pics. I jazzed it up with some bling and make a funky journal spot.

CTMH Scholastic paper was used to capture the Kindergarten graduation celebration of my youngest daughter last year. The design comes from CTMH's Make It From Your Heart Vol. 1 idea book.

I really like this LO. We were given paper and sticker embellishments at this retreat and it went perfect with these B-Day pics I took to scrap.

I finally got around to scrapping moments at the beach in September. We had a blast. Sorry about the lightening. The big top pic was really cool it has my footprints however the lightening flash makes it hard to see. I used CTMH paper to create.

Last but not least this is by far one of my favs..this was created using CTMH Stella paper and the AP cart to make the tab. I used CM hexagon punch to punch out all the hezagons. The idea came from the new CTMH idea book. The colors go great with this pic of my sister and I.

Well I hope you enjoyed these LO's. I love comments so be sure to leave me some. If you have any question about CTMH products don't hesitate to ask :-)

The Everything ABC's Blog Hop ~ Featuring the Letter "C"

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!
For this hop we will be featuring the letter C. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their C element will be featured in their post.
If you came from "Kelly Lane ~ Paper Petal Memories" then you're on the right track!
My representation for the Letter "C" is a "CARD" created using the "Card Chatter - Birthday Stamp" My inspiration for this card came from our new Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book on page 94. There are several cool birthday cards and I really liked the card in the middle so I played around and made it my own using this fun stamp set and Dotty for You paper (SORRY this paper is no longer available).
The picture below shows the dimension using 3-D Foam Tape which gave the card a little flair. I did some random stamping with a little star stamp from Love Life using Cranberry and Pear Ink. Each green star was blinged out using the Pink Glitter Gems specifically the red bling. The CTMH Artiste cricut cart was used to cut the button as well as the word cloud. I stamped the pattern on the button using the Buttons, Bits & Bobs stamp and tied a piece of Smoothie Bakers Twine through it. I used the paper tear technique to decorate the inside of the card as well as stamped the sentiment.
I hope you enjoyed my card. If you are interested in any of the products used to make this card click on the links above and it will take you to my CTMH page. BTW I enjoy comments :-) Thanks for stopping by!
