Sketch Solutions...Lesson 4

Here are my Lesson 4 layouts. The concept is suppose to be keeping it simple. 5x7 photo, title and journaling.  With this layout I used 4- 3x4 pictures to make a collage of a 5x7. These pics capture moments from our trip to Georgia last year. The title "Ready, Set, Go" comes from Artbooking.

This layout uses the "Free To Be Me" paper packet which is the special for May. 2 days remaining. Spending $50.00 by shopping on my website and get this paper packet for $5.00. SHOP HERE!! I love how this page came out! I used the Artbooking cricut cart for the title and "Buddies" embellishment.

Layouts using Sketch Solutions Workshop...Lessons 1,2 & 3

Do you use sketches? Do you find it saves you time?? I love sketches and I am grateful I won a free 4 week BigPictureClass workshop with Donna Jannuzzi called "Sketch Solutions"!! Yay Me!!

She provides sketches every other day as well as bonuses and shows you how to adapt the sketch. So you are essentially using the same sketch but making it look different by switching picture placement, where you journal or add the title etc.

I will be posting the layouts I create using her sketches....I had to play catch up so here is Lesson 1-3.

Lesson 1:

Quick and easy layout about me. I used CTMH Balloon Ride paper. I just love taking selfies :-)

My girls at their first dance called the Shamrock Shake. My girls are in green. It was a ton of fun seeing the kids go wild!! The CTMH Lollydoodle paper went great with these pictures.

Lesson 2:

Love this Mom & Me page using CTMH Skylark paper. This selfie was captured during our Sunday morning grocery shopping excursion. I adapted this sketch and used two journaling cards from the CTMH Picture My Life Skylark set instead of two 2x2 pictures.

I wasn't sure how I was gong to adapt this sketch since I had 3 small pictures instead of two. I couldn't quite figure it out but this is the finished layout using Lollydoodle paper. My sister surprised me with a Cupcake Pinata that was filled with scrapbook goodies and gift cards.

Lesson 3:

I love this layout. It was created using Ivy Lane paper. My sister friend and I had a blast using the photo props at a scrapbooking retreat in February. Get way to capture the Photo Fun.

This layout is special as it captures my thoughts regarding my current reality!! Love how it came out. I used Balloon Ride paper and the compliment embellishments.

I used a variety of CTMH products to complete these layouts. If you have any specific questions about the products used please contact me.

Scraps of Color Design Team Post....Mother's Day Homemade R & R

I enjoyed making these and featuring them on my Scraps of Color Design Team post. Are you ready for Mother's Day?!? If not here is a quick and easy Homemade Bath Soak recipe I found on Pinterest that you can whip together in no time for the special mothers in your life.

The products used came from Walmart and were cost efficient!! The bag of Epsom Salt was $.88 and makes 4 - 4 oz jars. The oils were $.97. I used 3 scents warm sugar cookie, citrus and vanilla berry. There are different sizes of jars. I decided on the smaller 4 oz jars which were $6.97 for 12. If your looking to make them colorful you can grab a box of food coloring.

I measured out a 1/2 C. of Epsom salt and poured it into the bowl.

I added a few drops of the oil.

The oil scent was citrus so I put one drop of food coloring in it to make it yellow.

Here are the completed Mother's Day goodies with paper flowers made using my CTMH Artiste cricut cart pg 54, Accent 2, F. The flowers were cut at 5 inches and outlined with stickles using Crystal, Yellow and Icicle. I also used CTMH bronze glitz. The flowers were secured to the top of the jar using a glue dot. I used the CTMH Holiday Tag stamp sets for the tags and stamped in Blush, Dessert Sand, Juniper and Black ink. The tags were also cut from the Artiste cart at 1 3/4 inches using pg 33. The tags were tied around the flower using CTMH Bakers Twine.

I used CTMH Ballon Ride, Ivy Lane and Skylark paper.

What homemade goody did you make for the Mother's in your life??

In Loving Memory....

My dearest uncle loss his battle with cancer 4.27.14. Here are the first couple of layouts I created in his memory. I plan to put together an entire scrapbook.

I really like how this came out. I used the retired CTMH paper Pemberly. The stamp sets are from the Pemberly WOTG and Family Love. They both were perfect for this layout!!

Here is an up close pic of a butterfly I cut out from the patterned paper. I glittered it up.

Same here with the flower. I cut it from the patterned paper and added some glitter.

This is a two page layout using the Ivy Lane Scrapbooking WOTG. I used the Artiste cricut cart to cut out the title "Family"

This is an up close of the right side of the layout.

Here is an up close of the left side of the layout.

My journaling spot on the first page. These pictures moments were taken in March 2014. Who would have thought a month later I would be making these pages. Its a wonderful feeling to be able to preserve the memory through my craft! RIP Uncle Don <3

NSD 2014 Scrapbook Layouts....

I had so much fun scrapping some special pictures of my family and I. I followed along with BigPictureClasses and their #NSD10K and posted my layouts!! They have tons of inspiration on their Instagram using that hashtag.

"Grateful" for 3 Generations..its really 4 but my moms hand is missing. I captured the moment showcasing my grandmother, daughter and I hands. This picture was taken in March and we were 80, 36 and 10 years old. My daughter and I had a birthday in April so we are a year older :-)

This is a fun picture of my little sis and my daughter. Love this pic!! I am showcasing it using the National Scrapbooking month "Free To Be Me" paper special. Spend $50 on my website during the month of May and get this paper pack for $ HERE to shop with me. The stamps sets used were Feathers and True to Life.

I used a retired paper pack called Tommy for this layout. This page is graced with my dad and youngest daughter at breakfast. I used the Reel Life, True to Life and Marquee Uppercase stamp sets.

Last but not least here is a fun layout of my BF and I. I used the Skylark WOTG paper and stamp set.

Blessed to Be Mother's & Father's

Have you began to make cards for the special mothers and fathers in your life? I adore the CTMH Mother's Day stamp set. The silhouette images remind me of different women in my family.

Here are a few cards I made for both holidays...

Love how this turned out using strips of patterned Skylark paper. I heat embossed the sentiment and added triangle studs.
The same design concept as the card above using strips of paper. The patterned paper is from the Avonlea paper pack. I used a different sentiment and embellishment.

This card shows the same design with the card flipped horizontally.

I played around with a Father's Day design using the Perfect Fit Dad stamp set. I cut the tie out using the CTMH Artiste cricut cart. I embellished the card with a little bling.

I used different color mats with the same design concept. The Tommy paper was perfect for this masculine card.

Bloom Into Spring....

I have been MIA with my crafting as I was dealing with the passing of my uncle which has been a great loss to our family. I previously signed up for a Pail Swap Exchange so I had to follow through with my commitment and get this project done. The requirements were to decorate a pail to my partners liking, make some homemade flowers and add 2 packets of seeds. Of course I threw in some fun crafty items as well.

When I think of homemade flowers I think of my Artiste cricut cart!! I LOVE all the CTMH cricut carts but this one has a special place in my heart when I think of flowers.

Here is the pail I submitted and I happy to report my swap partner loved it ..Yay Me!!

My swap partners favorite color is yellow. So I had some fun picking out this ribbon at Michael's. I tied a cute bow and added a charm that says "Faith". I made this adorable flower using pg 54, Accent 2 cut at 5 inches. After I rolled it I accented with stickles.

I added branches behind the flower using pg 54 shift lock, 3D object. I decided to use her initial to accent the pail so I cut out the letter "V" 9 times and glued them on top of one another for added dimension. The decorative shape is cut from pg 71, shift lock Accent 1. I used two different sizes and layered the card stock.
Last but not least I had fun making flowers. I used flowers from pg 54 & 55. I used CTMH card stock for all of the flowers. It was tons of fun putting together these pretty flowers for my swap partner to use.
