Scaredy Cat Double Treat Bag

Do you create fun treats for Halloween?? Each year I try to find something fun to create and the Double Sided treat bag is the winner!! This was inspired by Mychicnscratch on Pinterest. Check out the SOC (Scraps of Color) blog where this is featured as my design team creation.

Follow the picture tutorial to make one of your own....

Grab your favorite piece of patterned paper and cut it to 8x8. In this case I used CTMH Scaredy Cat paper.

Fold it diagonally from corner to corner.

Place it on your score board and score at 3/4 inch.

Turn your piece of paper placing it on the score board as pictured above and score at 3 3/4 inch. Flip it over and score again so you have the same score line on both sides of the triangle.

Fold along all score lines and then fold in the short ends as shown above.

Crease the center folds for a mountain look as shown above.

It will look like the above picture when you hold the two corners together.

Here is a side view showing you the fold on the bottom which allows the treat bag to stand up.

Grab your hole punch or in this case I used my CK slit punch.

Here is a pic showing how it looks with the punch at the top allowing you to thread through ribbon.

I used 3 different types of ribbon I had in my stash.

Take a coordinating piece of card stock and cut it at 12 x 1 3/8. Place the strip of paper on your score board and score at every 1/2 inch.

Fold along each score line which will give you the accordion look above.
I took a piece of sticky tape and placed it on the end of the paper and adhered it to the opposite end.

Once you adhere both ends press down in the center to give you this rosette look. I punched two pieces of black card stock and adhered a 3-D foam square.

I placed the circle pieces of card stock on the front and back of the rosette to give it a foundation so it could stay flat.

I took my SU word window punch and punched a piece of patterned paper. I used my CTMH Frightfully Fun stamp set to stamp "Trick or Treat" as the sentiment and the ghost for the center piece. I adhered the ghost to the center circle piece of card stock and adhered it to the center of the rosette.

Here is the finished treat bag!! You can add some candy to both sides of this treat bag.

The possibilities are endless as you can make this using your favorite patterned paper to represent the upcoming holidays!!

Artfully Sent Cards...

I had a blast with my first attempt at making cards using the new CTMH Artfully Sent cricut cart!!

How cute is this "Love Bug" card!! I love the Blushed paper! I wasn't crazy about the word love as I think it takes too much time to figure out what it says but overall I was pleased with the way the card came out.

The overlay for this card is super cute! The "Keep Your Chin Up" stamp set is a must have! I used my favorite paper pack Seaside and it is so eye catching!
