You Make My Heart Smile....

I absolutely love how these 4 x 4 cards came out. It most definitely made my heart
smile creating them.
I used the Happy Heart stamp set along with Line It Up. Line It Up are background stamps that come in the Flower Market cricut bundle. I used whisper, peacock. black and retire holiday red ink. The cardstock is peacock and black. I had some random hearts sitting around so I sprinkled them to add a little fun to the picture.

Surfin Santa....

I can't think of a cooler Santa!! I had fun creating this card using CTMH Surfin Santa and Cozy Christmas stamp set. I colored the image using Copics. I colored his clothing in non-traditional colors to go with the Oh Deer paper pack.

You can see I have a piece of vellum over the center mat which was an idea I saw on Nichol Spohr's blog. The sentiment is heat embossed in white.

Here you see three additional patterns from the Enchantment paper pack. I used the new Picture My Life White Frame overlays on the front of the card. Hello is cut from the Hello & Thanks thin cut. The sentiment is stamped from the Happy Heart stamp set.

Here is two more patterns from the Enchantment paper pack. I love this new stamp set Wise Guy Birthday. I used the Artistry cricut cartridge to cut the cake and cake stand. I stamped using Fern, Eggplant, Whisper and black ink. I rounded the corners using the corner rounder.

Feathers...Water Color Card

I love IG...why you may ask? I love to see pictures and outside of Pinterest there is so much inspiration.

With that said I saw a great card idea I liked by Wiwicard on IG. I took her design concept and tried to make it my own.

I took the "Feather"stamp set and heat embossed the image with white embossing powder. I went over the image using two colors using the CTMH watercolor paints. I heat embossed the sentiment which came from "A Little Note" stamp set which is retired. I added a few bitty sparkles. Quick easy and clean.

Windy Day cards....

Have you ever walked pass a stamp set you haven't used in a while and thought I should create something. Well below is the result of just that.

I had some fun with the retired Windy Day stamp set. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored the images using my Copic markers.

I used the In The Background stamp set to give me the pattern behind the images. I fussy cut out the images and popped them up for dimension. With the little girl card the patterned paper used is La Vie En Rose.

I was very pleased with the way these cards turned out. If you have these retired stamp sets get them out and play :-)

Kiss It Better....

I absolutely adore the new "KISS IT BETTER" stamp set. This is a great stamp set to brighten someones day. This card was inspired by Jennifer McGuire.
I started by cutting off 1 inch of the card base. I added this cute patterned paper from the Whimsy Fundamental paper collection. To add some flair I added a strip of silver foil tape. The great thing about this stamp set is the band aid shape can be cut from the CTMH Artistry cricut cart. I stamped the band aid using whisper ink.

I stamped the images 3 more times on a scratch piece of White Daisy cardstock with Whisper ink and colored the center heart with the RP198 Tender Pink Shinhan marker. I fussy cut out the hearts and used 3-D foam tape to pop them up off the band aid. I adhered the band aids only securing one side with adhesive so it could hang off the side of the card. The sentiment was stamped with Black ink. So super cute.

The Everything ABC's Blog Hop... Letter B

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter "B". This may be the name
of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has
chosen as their "B" element will be featured in their post.

If you came from "Jenn Benner's - Jen's Messy Studio" then you're on the right track!

The letter "B" represents the Beloved Bouquet stamp set. So fitting this is the current January stamp of the month.

I created a few cards using a watercolor technique I saw done by a fellow CTMH sister Denise Anderson Turley. I adored it and had to try it myself.

Of course I pulled out my CTMH water color paper, water colors and paint brushes. I used like colors and made random paint marks, with the intent to flowing one color into the other from light to dark.

I used my heat tool to dry my painting.

The images were stamped from the Beloved Bouquet stamp set using Memento ink.

Yes...I fussy cut them out. I enjoyed it for some reason. Not always the case :-)
I must say I loved how they turned out!! I decided to put clear wink of stella on the flowers by tracing the black lines. Added some flair!

Here is a more masculine type card I created using Outdoor Denim, Whisper and White Daisy cardstock. I added a strip of silver glitter trim and some pieces I punched out using my Chevron border punch. I made a patterned background piece of paper using the smaller flower stamp set and 2nd generation stamping with Whisper ink.

I adore La Vie En Rose paper so I had to use it. The design for this card comes from the Kaleidoscope card making kit. It makes it so easy to use the instruction guide to cut the paper make a card look totally different just by using a different paper pack.  Easy Peasy!!

Last but not least this card was created using the Kaleidscope paper pack. I added a few Pink Enamel gems to give it a little flair.

I hope you enjoyed seeing how fun the January SOTM can be. Remember you can only get it during the month of January so don't delay and miss your opportunity. You can shop with me here.
