Artbooking in August #2

Are you ready to get creative??  Let 40 talented CTMH consultants inspire you with their creativity this month. Each Monday in August, these ladies will be posting artwork to their blogs and you do not want to miss it!! (subscribe via email to ensure you don't miss the action).

We have been challenged to create 4 different projects using the new CTMH Cricut Artbooking cartridge and any CTMH paper pack.  ( yes - we all have retired paper packs in our 'stuff' and this cartridge is perfect for using up paper!!)  Stop back each Monday in August to see what I have created. Each week you will see one of the follow designed items:
1. 2 page layout
2. Card
3. Mini Book
4. Home decor or giftable item

If you came from Marie's blog you are on the right track.

I created a few cards made with different elements from the Artbooking cricut cartridge.
I used a Joy Fold card to have fun with the new Babycakes paper packet. I used Artbooking to cut out this cute lion on page 51 using the Icon button. I added some googly eyes and a wobble behind it so it can jiggle and hold the top card in place. The monkey, vine and sentiment was stamped using the Wild Wonders Occasion stamp set.
This is how the card looks when it is open. I again used the stamp set along with the Babycakes complements "My Baby" sticker to go in the center.
I really like the colors in the new Huntington paper packet. I used the overlay on page 72. The sentiment came from the Unscripted Everyday Life stamp set and the AP cart to cut out the shape. I sprayed it with gold shimmer mist around the leaves but I couldn't capture it well in the picture.
I also used the Unscripted stamp set to complete the inside of the card picture above. I used blush, vineyard berry and olive ink on the flower.

This card was fun to make. I used the Later Sk8r paper packet (retired) to complete. The Artbooking, Take Note Cricut bundle stamp set came in handy. I used the cart to cut out the arrow as well as the note book paper. The notebook paper shape came from page 42 using the overlay button and the arrow from page 79 using the borders button. For the arrow I cut out the paper and stamped the image then placing the image over the dimensional element arrow that came with the bundle. When you are looking for a way to use them this one way.
