Holiday Sour Cream Treat Holder Tutorial

Looking for a fun and creative treat container?? How about one that looks like a sour cream tube? I was surfing youtube for tutorials and happened upon Dawn Stampin Thoughts tutorial. She is awesome!!

Here are pics of the finished product followed by a video and picture tutorial so you can have fun creating as well!!!

I used Sparkle & Shine paper. This paper packet has tons of different patterns and they are all worthy of putting to good use.
I cut the patterned paper to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. I put adhesive on the two long ends and one short end. (Make sure you put the adhesive on the side you don't want to be seen).
Take off the adhesive backing. Roll the short end with adhesive over to the other short end, putting the two sides together. Make it look like a toilet paper roll.

Once you have the toilet paper roll look, seal one end by pinching it together. Place that end into the crimper (purchased at Hobby Lobby) and twist 1 to 2 turns depending on how many crimps you want to see.

The end should look like the below picture. HOW CUTE!!

Both ends are crimped. You can see the red tube has one more crimp then the other.

I placed some rolos and hershey kisses filled with caramels into the tube. I sealed the end by pinching it together at the opposite end of the end that was crimped.

Below is the look once both ends are crimped and the goodies are hidden inside.

If you look at the finished container I put the Bakers Twine around the top and tied it into a bow. I used the Artiste cart to cut out the tag at 1 3/4 from pg. 33 Accent 4 and key 3. I stamped "Happy Holiday" using the Holiday Tag stamp which coordinates with the tag. I heat embossed using Versamark, Red & Black embossing powder and my craft heater. I used 3-D foam to give the tag some dimension.
Thank you for stopping by and HAPPY CRAFTING!!
