Laughing Lola Tea Bag Dispenser

Have I mentioned how much I enjoy Pinterest?? I found this great tutorial for a tea bag dispenser compliments of Splitcoaststampers. If you are interested in making one the tutorial is here, since I didn't get a chance to make a tutorial.

I will be giving this as one of my Secret Santa gifts since my person enjoys hot tea. I used CTMH Laughing Lola and Lagoon paper to construct. The lid side panel patterned paper is actually the same color as the bottom patterned paper however I could not get the coloring to appear accurately with the lightening I have ..Boo!

I used the Art Philosophy cricut cart to cut the oval shapes. I used A Sip (retired) stamp set for the mug, stamping in black ink. Since this stamp is no longer available I would encourage you to try Cup of Cheer which will give a similar feel. I hand cut the mug and adhered it using 3-D Foam Tape. I used the Bonding Memories Glue Pen to go over the swirls in the mug and then sprinkled glitter over it. The photo doesn't capture the sparkle well.
I had fun making a rosette for the top of the dispenser. I cut a 1 x 12 strip of card stock and scored it at 1/2 inch down the length of the paper (you can also make rosettes using the Artiste cricut cart). I glued the ends and pressed inward until the rosette was flat. I adhered a 1 inch circle to the top with a brad. I added some tea bags. You can put approximately 18-20 bags in the dispenser. I really like how it came out.
