It's always fun to create backgrounds when the focal point will be a sentiment stamp set. I created this card using the Arguing with a Woman stamp set. I used the Blots stencil to create the background. I knew I wanted it to be bright so I went to work with my distressed oxides and blending brushes to achieve the look I had envisioned. I added black splatters using a shimmer pen. Last minute I decided to heat emboss the last line of the sentiment in white to make it pop. I placed the finished mat on a black mat and it really pulled the card together.
Here is another card I created using the same concept with the exception of adding color to fill the white space as well as I left off the heat embossed sentiment. I am pleased with how both cards came out. Check out more inspiration here:
