Technique Junkies November 2023 Release Day

 Hey Crafty Friends -

Are you ready for the November stamp release?! I had a fun time creating with these stamps and I know you will too! Check out the collection below.

I enjoy creating with fun sentiments and The Bottle Won't Open is one of those stamp sets!! If you would like to recreate this card do the following:
  • I stamped The Bottle Won't Open and It Takes A Village stamp sets in black on a piece of white card stock. (I cut away the sentiment to the It Takes A Village stamp set).
  • I masked the sentiment for both stamp sets using the white paper backing that comes on the back of the stamp set. (this works great as it closely resembles the shape of the image).
  • I then placed the Multi Dots Stencil on top of the images and secured the stencil using masking tape around all four sides.
  • I applied CTMH Sangria ink to my blending brush and worked around the stencil using a circular motion.
  • When I was done applying the ink I removed the stencil. I cut the card stock using Rubbernecker Nested Deckled Rectangle die.
  • I then went around the edge of the mat with the remaining ink on the blending brush. This added a soft sangria color to the edges and really made the images pop.
  • I colored in the images of The Bottle Won't Open stamp using Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers.
  • I then stamped the It Takes A Village stamp in Sangria. I fussy cut out the wine flowing from the bottle into the wine glass and adhered it on top of the wine bottle image mirroring the wine flowing out the glass. This truly made it look like a red wine flowing out of the bottle.
  • I used a grey marker to line the wine bottle and wine glass.
  • I adhered the mat to the A2 card base.
  • To finish up the card I added gold glitter gem embellishments.
I love paper piecing. This technique looks wonderful where I made the wine colored using CTMH Sangria ink.
