One of my favorite stamps included in this sell is "Find Yourself". Below are two cards I created with this stamp set. You can recreate this card using the instructions below.

  • I began by finding a piece of pattern paper I wanted to use. This help me determine my color scheme. In this case I used Scrappy Boy - A 70's Family paper pack.
  • I stamped the Find Yourself stamp 3 different times. 1. The full image on white card stock. 2. The top portion of the stamp on a smaller piece of white card stock with the focus being the 3 flowers. 3. The bottom portion of the image capturing the words "Find yourself and be that" on black card stock using Versamark.  I heat embossed with white embossing powder.
  • Using the first full image I stamped, I masked the image using the piece of paper that comes on the back of the stamp.
  • I used the Corners Stencil and Candied Apple Distress Oxide to make a background. Upon peeling back the stencil I went over the background using the ink I had left on the blending brush removing the stark white lines.
  • I then cut the card stock using The Stamp Market, Postage Stamp die.
  • I last minute decided to add some black splatters using a black shimmer pen.
  • I adhered the layers as you see in the picture.
  • I colored the face of the image and flowers using Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers.
  • I fussy cut the flowers and adhered them to the image using 3-D foam tape. I used a white gel pen adding accents on the flower and across the eye lid.
  • I cut out 3 strips of the sentiment I had previously heat embossed and adhered it to the same spot on the image.
  • To finish off the card I added a few clear dot gems. You can't see them well in the picture nor the sparkle on the flowers however it is so pretty!

The below card was very similar with a few differences. I will point out the differences below:
  • I used scalloped edge dies.
  • I colored the hair.
  • No, fussy cutting flowers. I colored in the flowers and added a sequin in the center.
  • I cut out the entire stamped image and popped it up on the black card stock with 3-D foam tape.
  • Added gold thread to embellish behind the top of the image.
  • Finished up this card with a few splatters using white paint.
I really like how I used the same stamp resulting in two different looks.
